They know their whiskies here! Even make their own! There’s a huge wall behind the bar stocked with hundreds of different whiskies. The bartenders are knowledgeable, and can probably give you detailed info about most of them, I imagine. My whisky sour was made with all natural ingredients. No sour mix here! It hit the spot! The interior feels almost like something out of Jules Verne novel with the metallic ceiling and old style ceiling fans. The dramatic red lighting definitely helps create a mood and a world. There’s even an area at the back with a fireplace where you can sit and relax. Outside, the world changes. It’s a more bohemian vibe, all about lounging while sipping your whisky and listening to live music. Don’t think there’s a food menu. They seem to team up with local food trucks and such.
Amazing drink lineup. And it’s not just a bourbon bar. The bartender (Max) created a one of a kind gin drink that was out of this world. Great vibe, very wide selection of drinks and beer, and great service. Would 100% recommend!
For sure a very unique hidden whisky bar with a ton of options. We splurged and tried 2 pours. I’m aware of most of the msrp of these bottles & this place is a tad expensive but you pay for the variety and experience. We spent 60 on our two pours. They were great. Friendly staff & cool place. Cheers.
We found this gem of a speakeasy totally by chance after apple picking. It was INCREDIBLE. It’s very IYKYK and a great spot that locals go to. Max the bartender and manager made such incredible cocktails for us as did Chris who was under his mentorship at the time. The vibe is very laid back and we love how they also have an outdoor area that you can chill in on nicer days. They also have space heaters for cooler days. They have a live band on some of the nights and an extremely extensive selection of brown liquor they also have lockers for bottles and you can tell they spent a lot of time on the design of the entire place. I also love how they turned French doors into windows near the bar. We were able to chat with Brian one of the owners for awhile and we had great conversation with him and he gave us the history of the bar and despite being busy spent time with us. We truly appreciated our time there and will absolutely be back. I could not recommend this place more. Thank you Brian, Max, and Chris!!!
We stopped here as part of our “tour” of Warwick, NY. It was a tad tricky to find, but it felt like it was supposed to be that way. Unassuming from the outside, this place is a little hidden gem when you walk in! We were greeted by a very kind bartender who joked that my husband needed a new hat since his was frayed and worn and showed us their merchandise. We ordered a fun cocktail and just took in the atmosphere. It felt like you stepped back in time ... almost a little speakeasy-ish vibe. They had regular bathrooms and then one that was airplane toilet meets vintage telephone booth (yes, I had to take a photo). They had live music as we were leaving and the place was filling up. Would’ve loved to have stayed there all night! We will definitely be back!
Went to a cool place with a #speakeasy vibe in #WarwickNY for Michael’s BD. #TheLastWhiskeyBar is built in the old plumbers shop in the abandoned Mid-Orange Correctional Facility. The drinks were amazing, the staff were cool and for a place that’s only been open for a few years, it seems like it’s been around forever. There is a huge selection of spirits and a creative ever-changing cocktail menu.
A hidden gem in Warwick! The Whiskey Bar feels like a scene out of Cheers—warm, welcoming, and full of character. The bartender brings the place to life, and even the personal pizza they serve hits the spot. Can’t wait to go back!
What a hidden gem. If you are looking for great drinks, great atmosphere and a fun time check this place out and bring some friends or make some while you visit. Such a cool spot.
